Germinating weed seeds can be very easy, but it is an important part of the growing process that should be taken seriously. If you are a new grower, or you're just looking for the best way to germinate cannabis seeds, always remember that there is beauty in simplicity! A lot of people try all of these crazy and far-out ways of growing and germinating seeds. The truth is; seeds do not a lot of help to germinate. Germinating and growing is what seeds are designed to do.
Just Let 'Em Grow!
Indeed, nature does 'natural' better than humans. Often, our own creativity, experiments, and ideas hinder nature from doing what it does best. Just let nature do its thing! Your job in the growing and the germinating process is to not get in the way of nature.
When you buy weed seeds from the Homegrown Cannabis Co., you're going to get premium seeds from premium weed at affordable prices. Still, money is money. You don't want to buy, say, ten seeds and ruin them by trying something that you heard of on a blog or YouTube video. Just germinate your seeds the right and simple way.
Germinating Weed Seeds
To germinate your cannabis seeds, you'll only need a few items handy, stated as follows:
- Premium cannabis seeds from the Homegrown Cannabis Co.
- One Large ink-free paper towel
- 8 oz. of spring, distilled, or mineral water
- One large Ziploc bag
- One 12-oz styrofoam cup
- Miracle-Gro potting soil
- One large sealable sandwich bag
- A Bic pen or #2 wooden pencil
There are really two steps that are important to the weed seed germination process.
Step #1: Sprout the seeds.
You'll do this by placing your seeds in a plain white paper towel with no ink, as paper towel ink can bleed off onto your seeds and harm them. You'll first line one half of the paper towel with seeds, spreading them out in straight lines, separated by about 2-inches per seed. Fold the empty half of the paper towel over the seeded half and either slowly pour or spray water onto the paper towel until it is thoroughly saturated. The wetter, the better!
You'll put the paper towel inside of a large Ziploc bag and seal it tightly. You'll open the bag once or twice daily for about 5-15 minutes, at the most! You're just letting the stale our out and letting some fresh air in, but you don't want to keep the bag open long enough for the paper towel to dry out.
Step # 2: Transplant the seedlings
After about 48 hours, you'll notice the first seeds starting to germinate. As soon as a white root shoots out of the seed casing, you'll need to transplant it into the styrofoam cup with Miracle-Gro. You'll push the soil down in the center of the cup with your pen or pencil about 1-inch deep. Place the seedling in with the root pointing down. Then, use your pencil to poke 1-3 holes in the bottom of the cup for drainage.
Place the cup inside of a large sandwich bag and seal. Remove the cup from the sandwich bag when the two round leaves appear.Germinating Weed Seeds
